- 15 g dark brown sugar
- 100 g full-fat cream cheese
- 345 g powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tray with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and pumpkin spice.
- In another bowl, mix dark brown sugar, pumpkin purée, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Gently fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
- Spoon batter into liners about two-thirds full and bake for approximately 23 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While cooling, prepare frosting by beating butter, brown sugar, cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until creamy.
