  • 1 lb flank steak or skirt steak
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 cups cooked brown rice
  • 1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the steak by rubbing it with olive oil and spices (garlic powder, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, pepper). Let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Grill or pan-cook the marinated steak for 4-5 minutes on each side until desired doneness. Let rest before slicing.
  3. Sauté sliced onions and bell peppers in the same skillet until tender and slightly charred.
  4. Build bowls starting with brown rice as the base, followed by black beans, sautéed veggies, and sliced steak.
  5. Top with avocado slices, fresh cilantro, and lime juice.
