  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (non-alcoholic)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 sub rolls

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Form into meatballs about 1.5 inches in diameter.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown meatballs on all sides for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add BBQ sauce to the skillet with meatballs and simmer on low for about 10 minutes.
  5. Slice sub rolls lengthwise and toast them in the oven for about 5 minutes.
