  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup (or honey)
  • 1 flaxseed egg (1 tbsp ground flaxseed mixed with 2.5 tbsp water for vegan option)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (plus more for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and line an 8×8" pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Add peanut butter, almond flour, maple syrup, flaxseed egg, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Stir until just combined.
  3. Fold in chocolate chips gently.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared pan and top with extra chocolate chips. Bake for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Allow to cool completely before slicing into squares.
