  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar
  • 15 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 6 tbsp cinnamon
  • 3 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • 4 ½ tsp corn syrup
  • 1 cup plus 2 tbsp heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together brown sugar and melted butter until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in sour cream, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Prepare the filling by mixing brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter in a separate bowl.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan; drizzle half of the filling over it and swirl gently.
  7. Bake for 23-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. For icing, combine heavy cream, vanilla extract, corn syrup, and cream cheese in a saucepan; bring to a boil until slightly thickened.
  9. Mix in powdered sugar until desired consistency is reached; pour over cooled cake.
