  • 1 package instant yeast
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 to 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup apple butter
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 6 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 5 tablespoons butter (room temperature)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a stand mixer, combine warmed milk and yeast; let rest until frothy.
  2. Add eggs, melted butter, and sugar; mix until combined.
  3. Gradually incorporate flour and salt; allow to rest for five minutes.
  4. Knead dough with a dough hook until elastic (5–7 minutes).
  5. Let dough rise in a greased bowl until doubled (30 minutes).
  6. Roll out dough into a rectangle, spread apple butter, sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Roll tightly, slice into rolls, and let rise again (20 minutes).
  8. Pour warmed cream over rolls before baking at 375°F for 25–30 minutes.
  9. Prepare frosting by mixing cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and cinnamon.
  10. Frost warm rolls and enjoy!
