  • 320 grams (2 2/3 cups) All Purpose Flour
  • 66 grams (1/3 cup) granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 8 tablespoons butter, cubed and chilled
  • 1/3 cup sprinkles
  • 3/4 cup cold heavy cream
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1/2 tsp almond extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the chilled butter until the mixture resembles pea-sized crumbs.
  4. Stir in the sprinkles and refrigerate the mixture briefly.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together heavy cream, egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
  6. Combine wet and dry mixtures until just combined; do not overmix.
  7. Transfer dough to the prepared baking sheet and shape into a circle about 1.5 inches tall.
  8. Freeze for 1-2 hours before slicing into triangles.
  9. Bake for 20-22 minutes until golden brown.
