- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 8 tablespoons butter, cubed and chilled
- 1/3 cup sprinkles
- 3/4 cup cold heavy cream
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional: 1/2 tsp almond extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut in the chilled butter until the mixture resembles pea-sized crumbs.
- Stir in the sprinkles and refrigerate the mixture briefly.
- In another bowl, whisk together heavy cream, egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
- Combine wet and dry mixtures until just combined; do not overmix.
- Transfer dough to the prepared baking sheet and shape into a circle about 1.5 inches tall.
- Freeze for 1-2 hours before slicing into triangles.
- Bake for 20-22 minutes until golden brown.
