  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour (for crumb topping)
  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar (for crumb topping)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for crumb topping)
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted for crumb topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and spices.
  3. In another bowl, combine the sugars, pumpkin puree, eggs, sour cream or yogurt, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture gently until just combined.
  5. Pour half the batter into the prepared pan; sprinkle with half of the crumb topping (made from flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter). Add remaining batter and top with remaining crumbs.
  6. Bake for about 40 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Let cool before slicing.
