Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (1 pound each) beef tenderloins
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup tamari soy sauce (or coconut aminos)
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 6 garlic cloves (minced)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, sweet paprika, onion powder, dried thyme, kosher salt, and black pepper.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together honey, tamari soy sauce (or coconut aminos), apple cider vinegar, and minced garlic.
  3. Season the beef tenderloins generously with the spice blend.
  4. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the tenderloins until browned on all sides (about 4 minutes).
  5. Pour the sauce over the beef and transfer the skillet to the oven. Roast for 15 to 20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C) for medium-rare.
  6. Remove from oven and let rest covered with foil for about 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.
