  • 1 whole chicken, cut into parts
  • 1/2 head of cabbage, roughly chopped
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 potatoes, peeled and sliced into rounds
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken with onion powder, thyme, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and sweet paprika.
  3. In a large oven-safe skillet, cook the bacon until crisp; set aside and leave some grease in the pan.
  4. Brown the seasoned chicken pieces in the same skillet on all sides; then remove and set aside.
  5. Add chopped cabbage and 1/4 cup of water to the pan; cook until wilted.
  6. Stir in potato rounds and onions; crumble bacon over the vegetables.
  7. Place browned chicken on top and cover with a lid or foil.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes until everything is cooked through.
